New OA book: Fictions, Frictions & Evictions: Housing Data Stories by Rob Kitchin. Available for download at: https://mural.maynoothuniversity.ie/id/eprint/21952/

The book is a collection of 208 drabbles – stories of exactly 100 words – that shine a spotlight on the data politics of housing, property and planning data. Written over a four year period – one per week – the drabbles are inspired by conversations and observations while undertaking empirical research on the Data Stories project. Collectively, they reveal the ways in which the housing, property and planning evidence base in Ireland is less than ideal and point to what needs to be done to address the shortcomings.

The book is a creative contribution to the Fictions, Frictions & Evictions exhibition starting next week in Dublin – details at https://fictions-frictions-evictions.ie/
